Yesterday, Thursday 10 November we held our Remembrance Day Assembly and paid our respects to those that have sacrificed so much for our country. Mr Stock, Head of Co-Curricular discussed with pupils the importance of Remembrance Day, its origin and the significance of Poppies, as well as reflecting that it’s not only a time to remember those who have served the country but those who risk their lives day in day out. Pupils and staff bowed their heads whilst ‘The Last Post’ was played and a moments silenced was observed. The assembly served as an important reminder of the courage so many individuals came before us have displayed.
