On a bright and energetic day, pupils from Year 5 to Year 8 gathered at the Perivale Athletics Track for the much-anticipated Middle and Upper School Sports Day. This annual event has become a hallmark of our school community, fostering not only athleticism but also camaraderie and school spirit.
The event kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony, each year group bursting with pride and anticipation. The roar of applause from parents and staff set the tone for a day full of excitement and healthy competition.
Races were the highlight of the morning, with events ranging from the 100-meter dash to the 800-meter endurance run. Year 5 students showcased their speed and agility, while the older students in Years 7 and 8 impressed everyone with their stamina and strategic prowess. The relay races were particularly thrilling, with baton exchanges happening seamlessly amidst cheers and shouts of encouragement.
Field events, including long jump, high jump, and shot put, saw pupils testing their limits and setting new personal bests. The enthusiasm was infectious, as classmates cheered each other on, creating an atmosphere of mutual support and celebration.
Pupils left the track with a sense of achievement and memories to cherish. We look forward to next year’s event, where new records will be set and new champions will emerge.
