Early July, our Castlebar Playing Field was abuzz with excitement as Year 3 and Year 4 pupils gathered for the highly anticipated Junior School Sports Day. This annual event, a highlight of the school calendar, showcases the athletic talents of our pupils and promotes the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and school spirit.
Pupils, teachers, and parents assembled under clear skies, the air filled with a palpable sense of anticipation. The field, meticulously prepared for the event, featured various stations for track and field events, ensuring a comprehensive sports experience for all participants. Cheers and laughter filled the air as pupils gave their best efforts, showcasing their speed and coordination. Parents and teachers enthusiastically supported the young athletes, as they took on various circuits of activities including, hurdles, high jump, long jump; creating an encouraging atmosphere that motivated the pupils to excel.
One of the highlights of the day was the relay competition. This event saw pupils from both year groups pitted against each other, testing their strength and team spirit.
Overall, the Junior School Sports Day at Castlebar Playing Field was a tremendous success. It was a day filled with joy, camaraderie, and healthy competition, leaving lasting memories for our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils. We look forward to next year’s event, anticipating even greater enthusiasm and participation!
