Durston House School’s Year 3 and 4 pupils recently dazzled audiences with their spellbinding rendition of “The Wizard of Oz.” Transporting spectators to the magical land of Oz, the production was a true testament to the talent and dedication of our young performers.
The stage came alive with vibrant costumes and enchanting sets as Dorothy, played with captivating charm by one of our Year 4 pupils, embarked on her journey along the Yellow Brick Road. Accompanied by her faithful companions—the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion—each brought to life by fellow classmates, the audience was swept away on an adventure filled with whimsy and wonder.
From the menacing Wicked Witch of the West to the mystical Wizard himself, portrayed with flair by our budding actors, every character leapt from the pages of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale. The energy and enthusiasm of the cast were infectious, captivating the audience from start to finish.
Under the guidance of our dedicated staff, pupils showcased not only their acting abilities but also their singing and dancing talents, ensuring that the performance was a truly memorable experience for all who attended. Congratulations to the cast and crew for their outstanding achievement in bringing “The Wizard of Oz” to life on the Durston House School stage!
