Junior School boys delighted in a whole hour of French story telling last week. What’s more, the boys from Years 3 and 4 followed every word, engaged by the expert delivery of Rachel from the Freshwater Theatre Company.  The two tales – Boucles D’Or et les Trois Ours (Goldilocks and the Three Bears) and Les Trois Petits Cochons (The Three Little Pigs) were performed with huge energy and enthusiasm by Rachel, making the action and French easy to follow. But the highlight for the boys was the chance to respond vociferously and participate – myriad props and costume turned the children into little pigs, bears or the wolf, as the scene demanded! Afterwards, many were keen to listen to other children’s’ stories in French – an easy, accessible and fun way to hear more of this beautiful language.
